Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 October 2026 · PKJ Productions Inc.

The short version. A parent has the account. Children do not. We ask a child for a first name or nickname and nothing else — no email, no password, no photo, no birthday, no location. There is no advertising in Learn4Coins, and we do not sell or share anyone's information. You can delete everything yourself, from inside the app, at any time.

Who we are

Learn4Coins is operated by PKJ Productions Inc. This policy covers the Learn4Coins website and the Learn4Coins app for iPhone and iPad. You can reach us at help@learn4coins.com about anything in this policy, including a request to see or delete your family's data.

What we collect from a parent

WhatWhy
Email addressTo create your account, sign you in, and send confirmation or password-reset messages.
PasswordStored only as a cryptographic hash. Nobody at Learn4Coins can read it.
Payment detailsWe never see or store these. Card information goes directly to Stripe, our payment processor. We keep only a customer reference and whether a subscription is active.

What we collect about a child

Deliberately as little as possible:

If you use Homework Help, we also receive what you send to it: the homework itself — typed, or photographed — and the age, grade and interests you entered so the explanation can be pitched right. See Homework Help below.

We do not collect a child's email address, phone number, birthday, precise location, voice recordings, contacts, or any persistent identifier used to track them across other websites or apps. Children cannot message anyone through Learn4Coins, because there is no messaging in it.

The camera: two uses, handled differently

Spelling lists stay on the device

The app can photograph a spelling list sent home from school, so you do not have to type it out. That photograph never leaves your device. Apple's on-device text recognition reads the words out of it, the words are saved to your list, and the image is discarded. It is not uploaded to us, not sent to any other company, and not saved to your photo library. We never receive the picture, and there is no way for us to.

Homework pages are sent away to be read

Homework Help is different, and we want to be plain about it. When you use it, what you send — a photograph of the page, a PDF, or text you typed — leaves your device. It goes to our server and on to Anthropic, whose AI model reads the work and builds the lesson. Sent with it: your child's first name, their age and grade, and any interests you entered, so the explanation suits them.

What happens to it:

Homework Help is used only when a grown-up opens it and sends something. Nothing is sent in the background, and the rest of the app never sends a photograph anywhere. If you would rather not send a picture of a page, you can type the problems instead — though the typed text is read by the same model. If you would rather not use an AI at all, do not use Homework Help; every other part of Learn4Coins works exactly as before.

The camera is used for nothing else. You can decline the permission and type instead; everything else in the app works exactly the same.

Reminders

If you switch reminders on, they are scheduled by your own device at the time you choose. There is no push server, we are not told whether one was shown, and no information leaves the device to make one happen.

Children's privacy and COPPA

Learn4Coins is designed to be used by a child under the supervision of a parent or guardian who holds the account. The parent creates the account, decides what appears in it, and can view or erase everything in it.

Because a child never registers, never provides contact information, and is never shown advertising, we limit information about a child to the practice data described above — and, if you use Homework Help, the homework you send and the profile you entered for it.

Homework Help is opened by a grown-up and sends only what that grown-up chooses to send. A child cannot start it on their own from a device set up for them, and nothing is sent in the background. If you would rather no homework of your child's were read by an AI service, simply do not use it; the rest of the app is unchanged.

If you believe a child has provided us more than described here, email help@learn4coins.com and we will delete it.

As the parent, you may at any time: see what is stored, correct it, export it as a file, or delete it permanently. The first three live in the Parent tab of the app; so does deletion.

Where it lives

If you use Learn4Coins without an account, everything stays on that device — in your browser's local storage on the web, or in the app's own private storage on an iPhone or iPad — and never reaches us at all.

With an account, your family's data is stored in the United States and processed by:

ServiceRole
SupabaseDatabase and sign-in. Holds your email and your children's practice data.
NetlifyHosts the site and its server functions.
StripeProcesses payments. Holds your card details; we do not.
ResendSends account emails such as confirmations and password resets.
ReloadlyIssues gift codes when you buy one inside the app. Receives the order, not your child's information.
AnthropicReads the homework you send to Homework Help and writes the lesson. Receives the work itself and your child's first name, age, grade and interests. Does not use it to train its models, and is used only when you send something.

Each of these acts on our instructions. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

What we do not do

How long we keep it

We keep your account and your children's progress until you delete it. Deleting a child removes their progress, coins and codes. Deleting your account removes everything associated with it. Backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so a deleted record can persist in backup for a short period before it is gone entirely. Records we must keep for tax or accounting purposes — the fact that a payment happened, and its amount — are retained as the law requires.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Database access is restricted per account by row-level security, so one family's records are not reachable from another's session. Passwords are hashed. Redemption codes stored on a device are obscured, not encrypted — the meaningful protection is the PIN on the Parent tab. No system is perfect, and we will tell you promptly if something happens that affects your data.

Your choices

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect, we will update the date above and tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
